Your number 3 is wrong, can you name 57 types of pickles? They sure didn't have them back then either. According to the bio channel they ended up with the number 57 because it was the only number they could come with that kind of slid off the tongue. But I forget why they even wanted a number anyway. But it has nothing to do with the pickles.
Why are the M%26amp;M's called that and not just M? It was because Mars had a partner whose last name also started with M and was taken on as partner because his dad worked for Hershey's from where they origanlly bought their chocolate. Today the two company's are in secret combat with each other going back to that time.
