I am writing to see if anyone is aware of software that would enable me to map out the number of nurses my company has subcontracted with, by zip code for the entire country.
I am currently using Microsoft MapPoint which does what I need it to do but there's no way to view the entire country at one time - If I zoom out to see the entire country, the detail is lost and I can't see the shaded zip codes. Additionally, I do not have a printer large enough - like a large plotting printer - that will enable me to print the entire map.
I hope this make sense. Can anyone out there help?|||ArcGIS. you may need a little training on the software and its not free but any type of mapping you need to do it can handle. Another would be Map Info not as good but it would do the job as well. Check out ArcGis software at www.esri.com (Environmental Science Research Institute)|||You could take sections of the greatest zoom in version, print them on individual pieces of paper and paste them to a foam or cardboard background.
I have done that with a 4 MP digital camera picture, which I enlarged with special software I have, and printing it on 96 pieces of paper with a color laser printer, made a 6' x 8' picture, that was very clear and sharp.
